If we determine your project requires additional work beyond the estimate, we'll contact you for approval before proceeding — and invoice the balance when the project is complete. If your project is submitted as Light or Moderate but requires Heavy or Extreme work, we'll notify you for approval and send an invoice for the additional deposit before starting work.

Photo Capture Guide

How to photograph
your damaged photo.

The quality of your submission directly affects the quality of the restoration. Follow these guidelines when capturing your damaged photo with a phone or camera.

📚 DO

  • Lay the photo completely flat on a solid, clean surface
  • Use good natural lighting — near a window during the day works best
  • Hold your phone parallel to the photo (shoot straight down, not at an angle)
  • Fill the frame with the photo — get close enough to capture detail
  • Use your phone's highest resolution setting
  • Tap to focus on the photo before capturing
  • Take multiple shots and send us the sharpest one
  • For very damaged photos, include reference photos of the people in the image if available

🚫 DON'T

  • Don't photograph in direct sunlight — it creates harsh shadows and washes out detail
  • Don't shoot with overhead room lighting creating shadows across the photo
  • Don't angle the phone — angled shots distort the image
  • Don't use flash — it creates glare and hotspots on the photo surface
  • Don't submit blurry, underexposed, or overexposed photos
  • Don't crop tightly and cut off edges we may need
  • Don't submit screenshots of photos — always upload the original phone photo file
  • Don't edit or enhance the photo yourself before submitting — send the raw phone photo
📶 Important: If we determine your submitted phone photo is not usable due to under/overexposure, blur, glare, or angle issues, we'll contact you to request a better photo before we can begin work. Poor source images can significantly limit what's possible in restoration.
Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you only serve clients in Biloxi, Mississippi?

No — we serve clients nationwide. Because photo restoration is delivered entirely online (upload your photo, receive it back through a private gallery), we work with clients from every state in the country. Our studio is based in Biloxi, MS, but geography is no barrier to working with us.

How does the deposit work?

Your deposit reserves your place in our restoration queue and begins the work. It is applied toward your total service cost — it is not an additional fee. Deposits are non-refundable once work has begun.

What if I choose the wrong tier?

Don't worry — we review every submission before beginning work. If your photo needs a higher tier than you selected, we'll contact you with our recommendation, request approval to proceed, and send an invoice for the additional deposit. Work will not begin until the additional deposit is paid.

When does the turnaround clock start?

The turnaround clock begins when we confirm receipt of your photo and deposit — typically within 24 business hours. Submissions received on closed days (Sundays and Mondays) will be confirmed no later than 24 hours after the next business day.

Can you guarantee an exact match for extreme restorations?

For Extreme tier work involving face reconstruction, background replacement, or compositing multiple people from separate reference photos, we cannot guarantee an exact likeness. We use every reference photo you provide to create the closest possible representation — but restoration of severely damaged or missing subjects is interpretive by nature.

How do I receive my restored photo?

Once your restoration is complete, we'll deliver a watermarked proof via a private online gallery accessible from anywhere. After you review and approve (with one round of revisions available within 7 days), the watermark is removed and full download access is enabled. You can also order professional prints shipped to your door directly through the gallery.

How long is my gallery available for download?

Your gallery remains open for 7 days after final approval. If you don't download your images within that window, a $50 gallery re-creation fee will apply to restore access to your files.

Can I order prints of my restored photo?

Yes. Once your gallery is unlocked, you can order professional prints in a variety of sizes and finishes directly through your gallery. Prints are fulfilled by our professional print lab and shipped directly to your address anywhere in the U.S.

Can I avoid the 4% processing fee?

The 4% processing fee is included in all electronic payments. If you're local to our Biloxi studio, you can pay your final balance in cash during a studio visit to skip the fee on that portion. Clients paying entirely online can expect the 4% fee to be included in the deposit and balance amounts shown.

Do you accept walk-ins for photo restoration?

Yes! Local clients can bring damaged photos directly to our Biloxi studio at 895 Vee St, Biloxi, MS 39532. Call or text 228.910.3307 ahead of time so we can prepare for your visit. Walk-in submissions follow the same pricing structure.
